CONTEMPORARY INDIAN ARCHITECTURE

This commemorative monograph is a limited-edition publication to inaugurate the Digital Repository of Contemporary Indian Architecture, by the Council of Architecture-India. The inauguration of the Digital Repository was done on the exciting occasion of the India, Art, Architecture and Design Biennale held in New Delhi, complemented by the Students Biennale curated by the Ministry of Culture inviting the Council of Architecture in its collaboration.

This Digital Repository is envisaged to become a valuable and dynamic narrative that weaves across the cultural, historical, and modern elements influencing the architectural fabric of this large and diverse country. The repository aims to grow over time and cater to all sections of society – architects, universities, research, policy, students and the general public. The Contemporary Indian Architecture, digital repository is a collaborative initiative, inviting architects and universities to build a repository that showcases India’s architectural prowess.
